These are some examples of Paul's handmade knives. Functional combinations of mechanical and organic influences, custom knives are just another of Paul's passions. Most start with 440-C stainless steel, D-2 tool steel or fine Damascus. Through many hours of grinding and shaping, the blade is formed, then heat treated to 55 Rockwell, and double tempered. Guards and accents are brass, bronze or German silver and handle materials range from exotic woods to antler to fossilized Wooly Mammoth tusk. Prices range from $750 to $2,000, depending on materials and design.
